The Aberdeen City Centre and Beach Master Plan (CCBMP) aims to create a more attractive, active, healthier and sustainable city which is accessible and inclusive and provides a better quality of life for all.

The CCBMP has been shaped by Aberdeen City Council following extensive public consultation and is a “live” document which the Council is committed to reviewing on an annual basis.

The multi-million pound projects include major improvements to the Union Street Central area streetscape, the construction of a new Aberdeen Market on the Green, and the revitalisation of the beachfront with plans for an events park, a world-class children’s play area and state-of-the-art leisure facilities.

Aberdeen City Council’s development partner for the CCBMP is hub North Scotland. Morrison Construction has been appointed main contractor for the Union Street Central and new Market projects. Robertson Construction has been appointed main contractor for the first phase of the beachfront projects.
